Bali Panas...

Setelah seminggu di Bali baru sekarang saya sempet posting di blogger. Well, sebetulnya saya kemarin sempat posting beberapa kali, tapi masuknya di www.moronnic.multiply.com. FYI, saya di Bali dalam rangka UNFCCC / United Nations Climate Change Conference. Kebetulan organizer tempat saya bekerja mendapat tanggung jawab untuk mengorganize event raksasa ini. Mulai dari Sekjen PBB, Kepala-Kepala Negara sampai aktivis semacam Al Gore akan menghadiri acara ini. Denger-denger Arnold Schwarzenegger tadi sudah terlihat di salah satu hotel. Gosipnya Leonardo DiCaprio dan Thom Yorke juga akan hadir! That's why we have to prepare it very carefully. Dari satu bulan sebelumnya beberapa staff kantor saya sudah "diungsikan" ke Bali. Bahkan, sekarang ini sekitar 50an karyawan di kantor saya sudah berada di Bali. Jadi, kalo 2 minggu ini ada yang berkunjung ke kantor yang berlokasi di The Sultan Hotel itu dijamin suasananya sunyi senyap *krik krik krik*.

Saya sendiri di Bali International Convention Centre (BICC) bertanggung jawab di Media Center, yaitu 8 tenda tempat berkantornya hampir 1,000 orang wartawan/jurnalis/reporter dari penjuru dunia. Mulai dari CNN sampe Bali TV pun berkantor sementara disini. Disini saya diperbantukan kepada Eurovision/EBU (European Broadcasting Union), official broadcaster event ini. Jadi, selain bertanggung jawab kepada Ibu-ibu atasan saya, saya sekarang punya 3 bos baru dari Eurovision, yaitu Andre Bentlage, Danny Duijs dan Steven-something yang semuanya bule asli yang baik-baik.

Oh iya, i will be here *in Bali* until 15 December... Baru seminggu berjalan, persiapannya aja udah bikin badan remuk. Venue-nya luas banget, jadi kita harus selalu siap jalan (baca: lari) kesana-kemari di cuaca yang panas banget *kata Stella: "lu kok gak ketemu seminggu iteman sih, ron?"*. Pulang nggak pernah dibawah jam 9 malem. Malah 3 hari terakhir saya baru balik ke hotel diatas jam 11 malem dan jam 8 pagi sudah ke venue lagi.

Tapi nggak apa-apa, ini adalah pengalaman yang cukup membanggakan bagi saya. Terlibat di konferensi terbesar yang pernah diadakan di Indonesia (hampir 15.000 delegasi! Dan ada sekitar 600 meeting dalam 2 minggu!). Sekaligus event yang akan membawa nama Indonesia *siapa tau nanti ada Protokol Bali sebagai pengganti Protokol Kyoto, kan keren tuh*

Well, istirahat makan siang udah abis nih, I think i've to go back to the Media Center... Ciao!
